I am so grateful for all the positive feedback I have received from this experiment. Many people have asked to see close up details to see the stitch work. Who am I to refuse?
At times I used thread that blended with the tones of the paint, but at other times I chose contrasting. Each chair looks completely different
Please feel free to make any other suggestions or comments. I love hearing from you!
Very cool, thanks for the details!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love these chairs!
ReplyDeleteWow! 10 chairs! This was a big project! Thanks for the detail shots. The stitching really makes the designs work. I especially like the soft airbrushed lines interwoven with stitching...the last 2 images. I agree; you should write up this project for publication.
ReplyDeleteKnowing what you know now, would you ever consider doing this again?

It's interesting that the fabric took the dye without being prewashed.
ReplyDeleteThat's a really great baby quilt, Daniela - it would also be a great wallhanging for someone of any age. I especially love the secret messages that they will find over time! And the pink-and-orange combo rocks!
